Hello everyone Have not been on for a while, to be honest i have felt rather depressed and i just could not get on. Feel a bit better now but having read a lot of the entries on here devestated for some of you and rather ashamed of my feeling so low when a lot of you have so much to feel sad about. I am getting my hip done on 12th may but blood tests not good, liver wise and I have clotting blood aparantly. now hospital phoned and they want me to go for lung function tests. It is good to be cautious but it is putting me off a little!! Any way I will get back on asap in the meantime please all of you take care Love melanie. Love Melanie

Hi Mel, Not surprised you've been feeling low. I think sometimes we need to sit back and take a break from things as it can be a bit overpowering reading about so many sad and unpleasant things, especially if things are rough around us. YES I'VE CHANGED, PAIN DOES THAT TO PEOPLE.

Hi Mel
I think, like Julie, it does us good to have a break from time to time.
Please, never feel ashamed for feeling so low - we've ALL been there and it's a bad place to be. One of the great things about the forum (for me) is knowing that whatever I've felt or experienced, there is always someone who understands.
Great news that you have a date for your hip op. I can well understand how wobbly you feel about it, but the hospital is just covering every angle and that shows they will take very good care of you. If it's any conslation at all, I weighed 16 stone, had astronomically high BP and was very very unfit when I had my hip replaced a couple of years ago and I sailed through it. Honestly. I opted for a spinal with sedation and can honestly say I'd always choose this route in future.
Let us know how you get on.
Lots of love Jeanxxxx

Hi Mel, Never apologise for feeling low - we have all been there, it`s a part of RA, and much underestimated I think. I hope your op on May 12th is staightforward, and you make a really good recovery. I think it`s good they are checking everything out - I`ve had two or three lung function tests, and I`m sure you`ll be OK. Take care, Kathleen x

Hi Mel, Good to hear from you. Don't feel ashamed about feeling low, as Jean says, we all suffer with this from time to time. Glad you have a date for your hip op. Don't worry about the tests, it's good that they are being cautious. Hope all the tests are ok and you get the go-ahead for the 12th.
Love, Doreen xx

Hi Mel,
Good news that you have your date to have your operation but sad that you need it done at all. However, I am sure that it will make such a posive difference to your life when it is done and you have recovered. Hope that the bood test results are improved next time. Keep us up to date with how you are getting on.

Hi Mel
Never apologise for anything you write on here, we are here to support and help if we can, if only by "listening".
I'm glad you've got your date for your op, and hope you sail through it like Jean.
